UCP is one of the largest developers of affordable housing for adults with disabilities in the state of California. Our 42 sites we built and maintain are set in residential neighborhoods, and our rent-subsidized apartments are specifically designed for accessibility.
UCP runs Adult Day Programs (ADP) in Chatsworth, Thousand Oaks, Van Nuys and Culver City. Adult Day Programs include innovative programs that enable people to connect with resources that
strengthen independence, skill development, self-esteem, healthy living, and a sense of belonging to their
community. Our focus is to promote meaningful opportunities for the people we partner with as they
carve out their adult lives; this includes an emphasis on community involvement, independence and
personal choices, access to innovative health services, individualized training and skill building, and
increased options for continuing education, job placement and socialization.

| Parent Support and Advocacy |
UCP Parent Support and Advocacy Group for parents of children with cerebral palsy provides information and a setting to support one another and to learn how to advocate for the needs of their children. UCP staff facilitate the meetings and invite speakers to address a variety of topics requested by participants.
UCP Respitality is designed for over-worked parents who need a break and the perfect opportunity to rejuvenate at one of our partner hotels in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. These quality hotels donate rooms to UCP, where parents can rest for a few days-usually over a weekend. While they're relaxing, our experienced care providers can stay with their child their own home, should they request this service.
UCP Wheels for Humanity has helped more than 34,000 people with disabilities in more than 66 developing nations gain increased mobility and dignity. By refurbishing donated wheelchairs, we hand fit them to children and adults with disabilities in developing nations and partner with international health-care organizations to identify those in greatest need. With a team of volunteer health care professionals, each recipient is individually fitted to the wheelchair that best fits their needs.
